|unitedarchitecture has undertaken a design proposal for Haringey Council with a vision to deliver a ‘workspace which should engender creative working practices’. The proposals look to revitalise currently redundant space on the top floor of Haringey’s corporate office building by providing a co-working space for cross department collaborative working.||The design utilises open plan space and allows for carefully considered zoning through the use of flexible furniture and subdivision, expanding and contracting as required. All surfaces including walls become usable as a canvas for ideas and creative thinking. A range of adjustable furniture caters for different user needs and working situations regardless of group size or formality.||The design solution offers a fundamentally different working environment to that available elsewhere within the building and local authority. The design responds to staff engagement and Haringey’s vision for smart working principles within the borough looking to the future.
